The Secretary of Energy Darío Martínez affirmed that “this winter we will have more National Gas covering the demand of homes and industry than last year”.

Martínez explained that “the Total Volume of the National Gas Production, driven by the consolidation of the Gas.Ar Plan, will allow this winter an injection to the transportation system of more than 6% than that verified last year, and added that “this is what indicate the projections reported by the producing companies”.

While, between May and September 2021, 17,400 MM m3 were injected into the gas system, this year in the same period it is estimated that 18,467 MM m3 will be injected, an additional 1,067 MM m3, which is equivalent to a growth of 6.13%.

The Secretary of Energy stated that 'the increase in production in the Neuquén basin more than compensated for the natural decline in the other basins in the country, and the same will happen in this winter of 2022.'

Martínez affirmed that “last week, Presidents Fernández and Arce agreed that the volumes of gas that Bolivia will supply firm for this winter will be 14 MM m3 per day. In this way, in the May-September period, YPFB will receive 2,142 MM m3 of gas”.

Later, the Secretary of Energy explained that “this will determine that the total injection of Argentine Gas plus that of Bolivian origin in our gas transportation system, reaches 20,609 MM m3 this winter, against the 19,542 MM m3 injected last winter. last. This is an increase of the order of 5.46%.”

Darío Martínez added that 'Additionally, YPFB may additionally inject up to 18 million m3 per day, depending on its availability, volumes that have not been considered in this analysis.'

Later, Martínez declared that “the award of the purchase of the pipes, which launches the program to expand the transport capacity of the national gas pipeline system “Transport.Ar Production National” whose distinctive work is the Néstor Kirchner Gas Pipeline, It will allow the next winter 2023 to expand the evacuation capacity from Vaca Muerta by at least 11 million cubic meters per day, a capacity that a few months later will be expanded, with the construction of two compression plants, up to 19 million.”

Finally, the Secretary of Energy stated that 'with such a work in operation, Vaca Muerta's gas production will grow in at least those volumes, which will compensate for the decline in other basins, and will replace LNG and Gas Oil imports, with production Gas. national, in turn enhancing the export capacity to Chile”.
